New in 5.9
Play Sessions are a brand new way to share your stories with groups of players, with the option to monitor their progress along the way.
Play Sessions!
The big, new feature in version 5.9 is Play Sessions. You can now host shared sessions for players to explore your stories together. Track their progress as they go, even letting them chat with each other if you choose.
There are three types of Play Sessions you can host…
Basic Play Session
Host up to 40 players with this simple, free type of session. You can monitor who has joined a basic session, but no other tracking or player interaction is provided.
The Player Tracking Panel gives you complete insight into how each player is doing.
Player Tracking Session
Host up to 25 players with this type of session. Requires In-App Purchase. Track each player’s progress in full detail (where they are at, milestones they have reached, objects they possess, etc.) as they explore. Additional sessions can be purchases to support more players.
Player Interaction Session
Host up to 12 players with this type of session. Requires In-App Purchase. Track each player’s progress in full detail (where they are at, milestones they have reached, objects they possess, etc.) as they explore. Players can see where other players are currently located in the story, too, and can chat with each other. Additional sessions can be purchases to support more players.
Add Milestones as a way to see how players are progressing through your story.
Milestones
To go along with Play Sessions, you can now set Milestones for players to reach in your adventures. Milestones let you quietly track if and when players reach certain points in your story. You can then monitor them in the new Player Tracking Panel, plus you have a new Condition that you can use to base outcomes on whether or not milestones have been reached.
Milestone Bookmarking
Milestones can also be set to add bookmarks for your players, automatically, when they reach a milestone, so that they can return to those points later.
New Weapon and Armor object templates.
New Weapon & Armor Objects
To help in creating objects that can be used in Battle Mode, two new object templates have been added: New Weapon and New Armor. They’re available for you any time you add a new object to a location.
Relocate Story Option
If you decide, after creating a new story in one world, that it fits better in another world, you can now relocate your adventures after you create them at any time. Simply tap and hold on the story’s icon, and select “Relocate…” in the pop-up options.
Feedback and Forums Button
The feedback you have provided us over the years has been incredibly helpful and appreciated. Most of what we add or change in Wunderverse comes directly from the amazing ideas we get from you! And because we are a small shop, it’s sometimes the only way we find those hard-to-reach bugs and broken features we miss.
To make it even easier for you to connect with us, and also give you a way to start sharing with the larger Wunderverse community, we’ve added a button right in the app for you to quickly send us feedback, report bugs, or to chat with other Wunderverse players in our new Forums area.
